Folks,

Friday the Boys Basketball teams hosted Bells and played 2 exciting games.

The JV boys battled to come from an early deficit, eventually coming up just short, dropping their record to 2-7 in district.

The varsity Tomcats overcame a 6 point 4th quarter deficit with some fantastic defense, rebounding, and knocking down several big shots as they withstood a Panther charge in the last 2 minutes. The boys were able to ice the game hitting 7-8 free throws to close out a 48-44 victory. It was a total team effort on both ends of the floor. This was the first Tomcat win vs. Bells since 2006, and improved their district record to 3-6, already the most wins in district since 2006, with 5 games yet to play.

Leading the way in scoring were the youngest Cats Hunter Book and Logan LeDane. Defensively the Tomcats were led by the strong rebounding of Caden Gomez and Stephen Kinney, and the all-around energy of Cody Miller.

Both teams are in action tomorrow @ Gunter, currently ranked 23rd in the state.
