Varsity-
The Lady Cats finished the season with a Homecoming win over S&S which completed
the sweep of S&S through two rounds of district play and unfortunately we ended
the season with a close, 5 game loss to Bells. Scores for the games are as
follows:
Tom Bean 20 25 25 25
S&S 25 22 17 13 Homecoming
Tom Bean 25 21 25 19 16
Bells 16 25 19 25 18 Senior Night
It is easy to get overwhelmed by the tremendous growth that can occur throughout
a season with a team and your Lady Cats are no exception. Despite an overall
record of 8-23 and 4-10 record in district, the girls got stronger as they
played on through district and really began to click as the second round began.
While we will miss the services of seniors Danielle Thompson and Amber Davis, we
have a seasoned group coming back to the court, that is hungry to make their
mark in our district. With a new alignment hanging in the balance it will be
interesting to see what happens to our district. I look forward with great
anticipation to the offseason for tremendous work and the next fall when the
Lady Cat Volleyball team retakes the court.
Two days following the Bells match the District 11-2A coaches met and voted for
our district awards and I have been unable to reveal the results until our
district teams were finished in the playoffs. As of this date all of our teams
are out of the playoffs, some a little sooner than expected. The results will be
published later this week or next in the Herald Democrat; therefore, at this
time, it is my pleasure to reveal the award winners we had this year. If you see
these girls, give them a pat on the back. They deserve it! Once again, thank you
for your support and we can't wait to see you again next year!
