Tuesday (last night)
Blue Ridge-
The Lady Cats traveled to Blue Ridge and took on a saavy defensive squad in the
Lady Tigers and dropped the match in 3 straight games. The Lady Cats second
outside hitter, Ronnie Trentman, had to fulfill the role of full time setter
and did a tremendous job. This category of change is a complete offensive
overhaul and tough to change on the spur of the moment. Ronni is young and
learning the role of a setter, which can be overwhelming; however, she is
adapting well. Maci Chapman was a serving highlight for the Lady Cats as well as
Mandy Rohrman with the combined duo gathering 10 ace serves. Hannah Howland was
another bright spot for the Lady Cats as she changed defensive roles and helped
offer experience from different positions to a squad that is extremely young.
The Lady Cats struggled at the net on conversions which was a large contributing
factor to the loss. The Lady Cats, 2-7, home opener is Friday night at 5:00 pm
against Dodd City. Thank you for your interest in our girls.
