Mrs. Royal  graduated from Texas A&M University @ Commerce with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education.  She began her teaching career as a fourth and fifth grade teacher.  While working on her Master of Science Degree, she became certified in Special Education where she worked with children with special needs.  After receiving her Master’s Degree in Counseling, she began her second career as a school counselor.  She spent eight years as a Pre-K through 12^th grade counselor before coming to Tom Bean ISD.  Mrs. Royal is married and has two beautiful children.  Her hobbies include spending time with her family, keeping up with her children’s many activities, and working with her horses.

Mrs. Royal believes that all children can learn and be successful in their endeavors if given the right tools.  She works with students throughout their high school career through classroom and personal guidance, career planning and exploration, and helping them to prepare for their post-secondary education into a college or university, the military, or a technical or vocational program.
